Welcome to our Adoption Journey!

From the very beginning, our hearts have been set on building a family through adoption. It wasn't a backup plan or a last resort; it was our first choice. We've always dreamed of providing a loving, stable home for a child who needs one.

Our journey together has been filled with love, laughter, and a shared commitment to building a strong foundation. We've worked hard to create a peaceful, nurturing environment where our child can thrive.

At the start of what we thought would be a very long journey - the unexpected happened...

TIMELINE

• We began our home study process July 30th after looking at which home study agency will be best for us.

• We completed and finalized our home study on September 8th

• We got a call Thursday, September 19th mid-morning about an emergency situation, where a mom had picked US, and the baby would be discharged that day, so we needed to pick him up 5 hours away. We dropped everything, scrambling to the nearest pregnancy resource center to pick up diapers and wipes, and set out to go pick up our son with absolutely no baby supplies other than the diapers and wipes we had picked up on the way.

• We got home Friday, September 20th and have been enjoying our time with friends and family dropping off baby supplies and showering us with all the love we could've hoped for. But we still need some support! Baby might be here, but we are continuing our fundraising efforts (we only got 5% fundraised by the time we got the call!)
